January 2009
After a long holiday break, the AGD's were ready to recruit! Our COR efforts were able to recruit 7 new members that we are very excited to welcome into our chapter. Our parent weekend was also held on January 24th weekend- all of the members and their parents had a wonderful time, and Jessica Grossman did a fabulous job organizing the entire event. Parent weekend is a great way for parents to learn more about the sorority experience, meet other members and their families and allows for some quality time spent with their daughters.
December 2008:
December came around to a stressful time filled with exams and final essays. Through all this, we were still able to have our annual holiday dinner which was held at the Barking Frog. To end the year, the chapter house was turned into a study area where sisters were able to come to prepare for their exams. The school year ended with everyone going back home for the holidays!
November 2008
November came around and brought us to our initiation week which was led by our new member coordinator Brandi Anger that was wrapped up with our traditional Feast of Roses. During this time, we also held our annual parent tea. The end of the month brought our annual semi formal crush party run by our social coordinator. The month came to an end with a Sex and the City sleep-over led by our activities coordinator Carrie Groskopf.
October 2008
With the glow of a successful recruitment the we continued the school year with a soccer baseball tournament led by our philanthropy coordinator Kristine Adams. As well, we supported our brother fraternity, Lamba Chi Alpha Delta Eta chapter with their annual food drive helping them raise 13 thousand pounds of food. We ended off the month with a Halloween party at the Barking Frog.
September 2008
We returned to UWO for another semester that began with formal recruitment led by our Vice President Recruitment Jamie Evans. We were fortunate enough to have fellow AGD and distinguished citizen Bonnie and our leadership consultant Rula there to guide us through the 3 days. We successfully recruited an amazing new member class of 23 young Alpha Gams!
